In case you missed it on Twitter, Kitrona was the winner of the VIP membership to The Whole SheBang. Thanks to everyone who commented and entered! I wish I could’ve given everyone a membership but since I’m not as powerful as my 6 year old seems to think I am, I can’t. But I definitely recommend signing up. It’s only a few bucks a month and that’s not a bad price for something that will save what’s left of your sanity.
Anyway, as promised, I’m going to be documenting my She Bang progress here and I’ve got my first update. I decided to wait until after the chaos of the holidays had settled down to get started because I didn’t want to set myself up to fail.
The first thing Krista has you do is what she calls SheBang 101 which is the basics of organizing that will lay the foundation of future projects. Now I don’t think I’m giving away any of her secrets by telling you that the very first thing you’ll be doing is setting up your routines – daily, weekly, etc.
Basic stuff, right?
Yeah, it is pretty basic…IF you do it. That was my problem. I never got around to doing it. I read all kinds of blogs about productivity and organizing but I needed some kind of system to bring all of this stuff together. I needed to get it all from one place which is why I’m so excited about following along with The Whole SheBang.
I now have some basic routines and schedules set up with just a little bit of tweaking to do once I sit down next week and start planning my goals for 2009. I’ve managed to combine both business and personal routines into once place which was something I struggled with before.
This weekend, I’m going to work on Project 2 and on Monday I’ll start putting Project 1 into action and see what changes I need to make to it. So keep your eyes open for an update next weekend-ish and I’ll let you know how Project 2 went and how Project 1 is going.
And don’t forget to head over to The Whole SheBang and sign yourself up too! Tell Krista that April sent you. Oh, and follow her on Twitter. She’s an absolute doll and a real genuine, fun person to get to know.
