“It is never to late to be what you might have been.” ~ George Eliot
This quote, by novelist Mary Ann Evans, has been one of my favorites for many years. Mary Ann Evans used the male pseudonym of George Eliot so that her work would be taken seriously. Fortunately, women today don’t have to hide behind a masculine name. We are CEOs, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
I have been (and still am) a single mom. I have battled depression, abuse, teen pregnancy, and divorce. I have stumbled over many obstacles to get where I am today and I still have many miles ahead of me. I am a blogger, writer, military brat, mental health advocate and abuse survivor.
This is my journey.
I own my own business, Advantage Virtual Assistant.
I am the founder of the National Association of Virtual Legal Assistants.
I have launched two websites – Single Work at Home Moms and “But What About the Kids…” (both of which tend to get put on the back burner when life gets hectic as it usually does.)
With all of the things I have going on in my life, I wanted to make one central website where I could share it all. That’s why this site is titled simply April Tara. This is me. This is who I am.
